Can watching horror flicks be good for you?

According to psychiatrist and researchers, it can be good to have a scare fest with your favorite horror movies and here you thought there was something wrong with you. What is it about the gore, blood, fear of an unknown creature or individual that makes you want to watch more?  I’m not one to watch them intentionally, if a friend wants to hang out and watch something like Paranormal Activity, I have to pray for about an hour before I do so.
