Everyone making the best out of our situation (COVID-19)

During this trying time when we all just want to go out and enjoy the summer, we have restrictions that are made to help flatten the curve on this pandemic. Last week, restaurants were excited because one judge ruled a 10 day ordinance to open their doors for those who wanted to dine in, at 50% capacity of course. That was overruled immediately by the NM Supreme Court and shut it down, so now outside patios are only permitted as long as the business complies with FCC regulations. I know there are a lot of people angry because they are tired of working on the house, getting that Honey Do List done, or staring at the same walls every day. There is one thing that I’ve been seeing lately that helps give me hope, people going the extra mile to help those in need. They use their talents and ideas to bring help to those that need things like water, food, and other necessities all while staying safe of course. There is nothing that can break apart something as strong as role models who take that first step and all we have to do is follow that example then pass it on. This is the kind of hope and love we need to show each other. Although it is a crappy situation, we need to make the best of it not only for ourselves but those around us. Help out with visiting someone you lost touch with, take the family out of town into nature where you can all reset, set the example by taking care of yourself like exercising, mani & pedi, writing, reading and invite someone along the journey. Instead of listening to everybody complain about wearing a mask, put on your headphones, turn up your favorite music, and escape to self-fulfillment by blocking out the darkness that is trying to take over this world.

Pic below was taken this past weekend in Pecos,NM my recent escape from it all.
