I work with an incredible amount of extraordinary women. While reading a book recently I had an idea. What if I asked these women 10 questions? Some fun. Some inspiring. Some with answers that may change the way I see things. And then share them with you! I put the call out and, as I knew they would, they were all quick to say YES, send the questions.
I am going to start with Steph Duran. Steph is sooo talented. She works for our sister station Magic 99.5 from 9 to 2pm Monday – Friday. Steph was born and raised right here in Albuquerque and she is AMAZING!!
Here are Steph Duran’s 10 Questions…..
- How would you describe your sense of humor?
My sense of humor is a bit dry, a little twisted…& a skoosh dark sometimes… fun!
- What is something you have done outside your comfort zone?
Moving across the country by myself.
- What kind of pets do you have at home?
There’s 2 dogs, 1 cat (all rescues) & 1 mean Green Tiger barb in a big tank.
- If your pets could talk, what would they say?
Our smaller dog Shamus is “The Sheriff.” If he notices any bit of fun, he immediately runs over to break it up. He’s also called “The Narc” at the dog park! If he could talk, he’d be one of those, ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ type guys…😄
Our other dog is a small blonde coyote-looking mix named Kyra. We just recently adopted her and she is still learning the ropes.
She lives to run (it’s the coyote in her!) and is currently training for the Duke City Marathon at the dog park. She can’t talk… too busy running!
Mama the cat is 30 pounds of Mama’s Grumpy Home Security (she even has her own Facebook page!) If she could talk, she’d want to know what the heck you want. Lol!
- What is your idea of a perfect date night?
A perfect date would be a walk along the Bosque in the evening, just wandering & talking, then a nice dinner. A little cuddle in the car and then out the driveway he goes!! lol 😆
- What is the longest amount of time you have done without your phone?
I once went 3 days without my phone! Sure, it was because my appendix ruptured and I was in the hospital recovering from surgery… but still!
- What is your favorite music/ artist?
I love music, so having one favorite artist or song is impossible!
I really like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, SZA, LANY, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll… but I’m also a solid Gen X and adore Duran Duran (I’m going to their show at Sandia SO. EXCITED.) & Prince…Def Leppard… but also, I love Neal Diamond…don’t even get me started. 😊
- What is the last thing you binge watched?
Last thing I binged was a re-watch of The Sopranos. Right now, I’m loving Resident Alien, Fallout, and Call the Midwife.
- What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
My all-time favorite ice- cream flavor is Ben & Jerry’s Pistachio Pistachio. And if you know of a place that consistently has it, let me know, please!
- What advice would you give your 16 year old self?
Advice for 16- year old Steph…
‘Girl, take advantage of the incredible opportunities you’re being offered! Study hard… and stop kissing silly boys!’
