Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Takes Flight: Embrace the Sky!

Get ready for a spectacle unlike any other! The 52nd annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, powered by ExxonMobil, is about to paint the New Mexico skies with vibrant colors and awe-inspiring shapes. This year’s theme, “Embrace the Sky,” promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.

A Global Gathering:

Over 565 pilots from 16 countries, including first-time participants from North Macedonia, will take to the skies. Witness the artistry of 460 standard hot air balloons alongside the whimsy of 106 special shapes, from playful animals to majestic dragons.

More Than Just Hot Air:

The Fiesta isn’t just about balloons! Enjoy dazzling displays of remote-control balloons operated by skilled New Mexico pilots. Witness the magic of five evening “glows,” where hundreds of balloons illuminate the night sky in a breathtaking display.

Music to Your Ears:

Get ready to groove at the Music Fiesta, headlined by country music star Carly Pearce alongside LOCASH and local favorite Kyle Martin & Co. The Main Stage will also feature local and regional acts, and every event kicks off with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem.

Fueling Your Fun:

Main Street offers a delicious mix of over 40 food and merchandise vendors, ensuring you can satisfy your cravings and find the perfect souvenir.

Ticket Talk:

General admission tickets are only $15 per person per session, with children under 12 getting in free! Consider a Park and Ride option for a hassle-free experience, or arrive early and snag a discounted group ticket (quantities of 4 or more) before August 30th.

Local Love:

New Mexico residents can celebrate New Mexico Day on October 7th by showing proof of residency for free admission (parking fees still apply). Camp 505 also makes a return for those seeking a full-on Fiesta experience.

Beyond the Balloons:

Don’t miss the stunning artwork of local artist Jake Gushard on the official 2024 Fiesta poster. And be sure to check out the Arfisans of Fiesta, featuring 29 talented local artisans showcasing their unique creations in jewelry, candles, metalwork, and more.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the wonder of flight. Get ready to “Embrace the Sky” and experience something truly magical!
