Finally got out of the house thanks to one of my best buds invitation. We went out to Pecos and it couldn’t of been better. There is something about being out in nature with no phone service and plenty of room to enjoy the day. I caught about 5 rainbow trout then gutted and cleaned my first fish. What an experience and can’t wait to do it again. How do you feel about disconnecting from the daily grind? Is it hard to escape or do you find yourself making excuses not to take time for yourself? I believe it is important to not some but all of us to take that time. It doesn’t have to be a whole day, why not a morning or afternoon to yourself for just one day a week? Is that so bad? I urge you to try it and see how much it will help keep your sanity. Think about things you don’t do anymore like bicycling, hiking, fishing, working on the car, whatever helps you escape from the worry and stress. Spend some quality time with you. Every time I have a conversation with someone who is overwhelmed with work, family life, or any other obstacles, there is something obviously missing. They vent about everything that is wrong, how it affects them but never how they can resolve it. The answer is right in front of them, as long as they are in front of a mirror. Help yourself and you will be more than enough help for others.
I hope you have a great day!
